On July 16, 2001, NESTCO shipped it's first of many to come Single Stage Steam Turbines. Serial Number 01001 was shipped to Goldwater Hospital in New York City, NY.
The
unit is a 69 HP, 1,750-rpm Cast Iron unit with steam conditions as
follows:

Who is NESTCO?
We
are the manufacturer of small, radially (vertically) split steam turbines,
the design of which, on the surface, looks like any other steam turbine in
its class.
It is NOT LIKE any other steam turbine in its class.
From
its all stainless steel, highly efficient and rugged steam path consisting
of "milled style"/integrally shrouded blading and
converging-diverging rectangular outlet nozzle block, to its all stainless
steel carbon ring packing cases, combination radial/axial oil seals,
innovative ring less oil delivery system, and state of the art,
"Finite Element" designed casings, this turbine is uniquely
unlike any other turbine in its class; except of course for it's price. Our
price is less compared to other less feature filled radially (vertically)
split steam turbines on the market today.

Oh,
yes, there is one other area where we differ from the rest; that is our
warranty. The standard industry warranty for steam turbines is one (1)
year. We warrant our turbine for two (2) years with an option to extend
the warranty indefinitely. Now, that's putting your money where your mouth
is!
